Eligibility
Grand River Transit's conventional buses are equipped with features to make them fully accessible. If you are unable to use conventional public transit due to a physical disability, you may be eligible for one or more of Grand River Transit's specialized services. Eligibility for these services is considered on a case-by-case basis and is not based on a particular disability.

The hours of service for MobiltyPLUS are as follows.
Monday to Friday: 5:15 am - 1:15 am
Saturday: 5:30 a.m. - 1:15 am
Sunday/Statutory holidays: 7:15 am - 1:15 am

Booking Requirements
Recreational/Personal trips must be booked at least one business day ahead of the trip, and no more than seven days ahead.
Medical, post-secondary education and employment trips may be booked up to 28 days in advance.
To book rides, please have the following information available:
Your name and MobilityPLUS ID number
The date you require transportation
Your exact pick-up address
Your exact drop-off address
The times you wish to arrive at and return from your destination. These times must be at least one hour apart.
The time you want to return
Whether you will be accompanied by a support person or guest
What mobility device (if any) will be used.
Note: Please be ready at the accessible door of your location at the beginning of your 30 minute pick-up window. Also, be prepared to wait 15 minutes past your pick-up time. This flexibility allows us to accommodate as many riders as possible.
Online Booking Information
Online booking is not available.
Cross-Boundary Travel
People registered with MobilityPLUS can book rides in advance anywhere within the city limits of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.
Wheeled Mobility Aids
Grand River Transit low floor buses can deploy ramps in any weather condition. Each ramp is slightly less than 30 inches wide, and has a maximum lift capacity of 600 pounds (272 kg).
On GRT MobilityPLUS vehicles, each ramp is 33 inches wide and has a lift capacity of 800 pounds (364 kg).
